The National Institute of Technology Nagaland (NIT Nagaland) is a public engineering and technology institute in Chumukedima, Dimapur, Nagaland, India. It is one of the ten National Institutes of Technology (NITs) established in 2009 by the Government of India under the 11th Five-Year Plan. NIT Nagaland started functioning in the academic year 2010. This institution commenced its establishment under the guidance of the National Institute of Technology Silchar in Assam. It operated within the premises of NIT Silchar for 2 years. The inaugural academic session of the institute at its permanent campus commenced on September 20, 2012. The institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate engineering, technology, and science programs.
