SVNIT Surat : Admissions

1. SVNIT Surat Offers Admissions for Programs like BTech, MTech, Integrated MSc, and PhD.
2. For BTech, Admissions are based on the JEE Main Scores and Follow the JoSSA Counselling Process.
3. For MTech, Admissions relies on the GATE Scores.
4. The Five-year Integrated MSc Admissions are based on the JEE Main Scores.
5. PhD Admissions are based on these relevant GATE/UGC-NET/JRF. Entrance exams. Moreover, this includes written tests and Interviews with the panel of experts conducted by SVNIT Surat.

1. Appear for JEE Main: The JEE Main is a nationwide entrance examination to gain admission to undergraduate engineering programs in India. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
2. Register for JoSAA Counselling: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) conducts centralised online counselling for admission to NITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs). To register for JoSAA counselling, candidates must have a valid JEE Main score.
3. Fill in the JoSAA Choice Filling Form: During JoSAA counselling, candidates must fill in a choice filling form indicating their preferred NITs and BTechs. Programs.
4. Seat Allotment: JoSAA will allot seats to candidates based on their JEE Main score, rank, and choices.
5. Accept Seat and Pay Fee: Once a candidate is allotted a seat, they must accept it and pay the required fees to SVNIT Surat.

1. The process of candidate selection is carried out via the JoSAA counselling procedure.
2.  The allocation of seats is determined by factors such as JEE Main ranking, seat availability, applicant categories, and other considerations.

1. Appear for GATE and Score a Valid GATE Score: The GATE score is required for all MTech applicants at SVNIT Surat. The minimum GATE score required varies depending on the program and category.
2. Register for CCMT Counselling: CCMT (Centralized Counselling for MTech is a centralised counselling process for admission to MTech programs at NITs and other participating institutes. To register for CCMT counselling, visit the CCMT website and create an account.
3. Fill out the CCMT Application Form: The CCMT application form will require details, academic qualifications, GATE score, and preferred programs and institutes. Lock Your Choices. Once you have filled out the CCMT application form, you must lock in your choices. In order of preference, you must finalise the programs and institutes you are interested in.
4. Participate in CCMT Counselling: CCMT will conduct multiple rounds of counselling. In each round, candidates will be allotted seats based on their GATE score, preferred choices, and the availability of seats.
5. Accept your Seat and Pay the Admission Fee: If you are allotted a seat in the CCMT counselling, you must accept it and pay the admission fee within the stipulated time.

1. A bachelor's degree in engineering or technology (BE/BTech) from an accredited university or institution, With a minimum overall score of 60% or equivalent. CGPA of 6.5 (55% aggregate or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD category).
2. A valid GATE score in the relevant subject.
3. Two years of work experience after graduation is required for admission to the MTech (Sponsored) program.

The candidate selection process is conducted through the CCMT Counseling process. Seats are assigned based on the following criteria:

1. Scores achieved in the GATE examination.

For candidates who have not qualified for the GATE examination, the following procedure applies:

1. They are required to participate in a written test organised by the institute.
2. Those who pass the written test will receive invitations for personal interviews.
3. The ultimate selection of non-GATE candidates will be determined by their performance in both the written test and the interview.

1. Apply for JEE Main: Candidates must apply for and successfully clear the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. This examination is administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the Ministry of Education (MoE).

3. Fill out the Online Application Form: Candidates must complete the online application form for admission to SVNIT Surat MSc. courses. The application form will be available on the official website of the institute.
4. Upload Required Documents: Candidates are required to upload scanned copies of the following documents when submitting the online application form.

4. Caste certificate (if applicable)

5. Pay the Application Fee: Applicants must submit the application fee online through the provided payment gateway on the website.

7. Attend the Counselling Process: Candidates shortlisted for admission Shall receive an invitation to participate in the counselling procedure. During the counselling process, candidates will be allotted seats in the various MSc. courses based on their JEE Main scores, preferences, and availability of seats.
8. Report to the Institute: Candidates allotted seats in SVNIT Surat MSc. courses must report to the institute with all the required documents for admission.

1. To be eligible, applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in the relevant field from a recognised university or institute, with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).
2.  The candidate must successfully finish the qualifying examination within the preceding two years.
3. If the candidate is appearing for the qualifying examination in the current year, they must have secured at least 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST candidates) in all the subjects studied in the first three years of the degree course.

3. Entrance Exam: Candidates must have valid scores in these GATE/UGC-NET/JRF entrance exams.
4. Appear for the Written Test and Interview: Once you have submitted your application form and uploaded the required documents, you will be shortlisted for the written test and interview. The respective departments/centres at SVNITSurat will conduct the written test and interview.

1. Educational Qualification: 
1. For eligibility, candidates should possess a Master's degree in Engineering, Technology, Science, Management, or Humanities or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university or institute.
2. They should maintain a minimum score of 60% (CGPA 6.0) or equivalent in the relevant faculty for open, open-EW, and OBC candidates. In contrast, a score of 55% (CGPA 5.5) is required for SC, ST, and PWD candidates.

1. Full-time Institute Research scholars (FIR) taking admission to PhD Programs in Engineering, Sciences, English, and Management should have qualified.
2. Should have engaged with GATE, NET, or CAT Examinations at least once during their academic journey.
